CAN I CHANGE ONE OF THE PACKAGES AND ADD IN OR TAKE OUT DIFFERENT OPTIONS?

Yes, all our menus are fully customisable to your requirements and we’re happy to amend and personalise the menu to your tastes. Please ask us for an individual quote

CAN I TASTE YOUR FOOD?

Yes, we make everything in house from scratch so can adapt menus to suit any allergies or dietary requirements and serve these separately if required. We always talk through the details of these guests and make sure we have all the information needed to create a menu that works for all your guests.

HOW DO YOU SERVE VEGETARIAN / VEGAN GUESTS FOR SHARING / FEASTING?

We’ve put lots of love and time into our veggie and vegan dishes and we’re really proud of them, you choose a separate set of options for these guests. We have a range of different sized platters and boards to serve on and depending on if, for example one vegan is seated on a table of meat eaters, we simply use a small individual board for them to serve their food separately.

HOW DOES YOUR STAFFING WORK?

We love our staff and our staff love weddings. We employ people who are passionate and get our ethos. We always chat through your specific wants and needs so service is tailored to you. Our kitchen team are led by head chef Mike and owner Matthew. A Front of House manager and our amazing waiting staff provide full table service as well as their friendly expertise too.

ARE THERE ANY TRAVEL COSTS?

We include travel within 25 miles of Somerset free of charge (anything further is £2 per mile). Certain locations may also incur a kitchen set up fee but this will be detailed on your initial quote if applicable.

I LOVE YOUR MENUS! WHAT'S NEXT?

If you want to talk to us further, it’s great to get an idea of you, and what you’d like on your wedding day. Drop us an email to hello@hogroastofsomerset.co.uk and let us know any details, like date, venue, guest numbers, courses, style of food, any food influences you love! We can then provide some initial ideas and prices as a base to start from.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T KNOW WHAT I WANT?

Don’t worry, it’s fine if you are in the early stages of planning or just aren’t sure what you’d like on your day yet. We offer flexibility in all your menus choices and packages. We can amend and tweak your requirements all the way up to 28 days before your event day to make sure you’re 100% happy with all the plans.

HOW DO I SECURE THE DATE?

Once you are happy to proceed. We ask for a deposit of £150 to secure the date in our diary. This payment is taken from your final balance which is due no later than 8 weeks prior to your event date.

How does wedding catering work?

We don’t just cook the food. We will also set up your tables and chairs, provide professional wait staff, serve up your food on time, clean the dining and kitchen areas

afterwards, pack up any leftovers and provide evening snacks if required.

What do we discuss during the first catering meeting?

We will talk

through your plans, budget and any ideas you have about your menu. In turn we will provide guidance and our own ideas on what we can do to make your day perfect.

Do you offer tastings?

Yes! After our initial meeting, we shall cook a tasting menu for you to try so you can tailor the menu to your own preferences.

Can you help with the bar?

We work with an incredibly talented suppliers we work with that provide bars and alcohol for your wedding.

We need a marquee can you help?

Yes, we can! We work with several local companies who can help provide you with tipis, tents and marquees.

What is the best menu for a wedding?

There is no right or wrong here.

This really is down to your own personal choice. We can cater to

buffet weddings, BBQs, paella’s, grazing sharing boards to a sit-down meal depending on your preference.

How far in advance should you book your wedding caterer?

This really can depend on a number of factors and we can cater to all different time frames. Typically, 10-12 months in advance is average and gives us plenty of time to ensure your wedding catering is flawlessly executed.

How much does wedding catering cost?

Wedding catering prices vary dramatically depending on what type of wedding catering you would like, how many guests there are going to be and what type of food will be served. On average wedding catering prices are between £1000 – £3000 but this does not mean your wedding catering price will be within this range. We recommend getting in touch with us for a quote and we will help you work within your wedding budget.

How do you calculate catering per person?

To calculate how much money you need per person, take your catering budget and divide that by your number of guests. However, we have a wide range of menus and can personalise them to your needs, we can help you stick to your budget during our first meeting.

What are the different types of catering?

Typically, corporate catering for businesses and functions, social event catering, weddings and concession catering. We can help you with all four.

What if we have dietary requirements?

We cater for all dietary requirements at the Cotswold Caterer including vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free. Just let us know in advance and we can tailor the menu to suit you and your colleagues.

Where are you based?

 We’re based in Somerset but can travel to you with our friendly team.

What does the pricing include with corporate catering?

 As well as the menu you have chosen, your quoted price will include: all food produce, a catering event manager, a dedicated chef team, uniformed waiting staff, cutlery and crockery, all travel costs up to  30 miles and complimentary menu tasting if needed. We can also just deliver your food to you and go at a reduced price if not every service is needed!
